Let's Go!

Welcome to the start of a slow and creative ride to Christmas. This blog has been designed to inspire you to prepare for Christmas, little by little, at a nice and easy pace. you won't even notice you're doing it but you'll be so glad you did. Each week our fabulous and creative DT will be inspiring you with projects they've made on our weekly theme. These projects need not necessarily be cards, though if that's what you want to do, then that's absolutely fine - anything to take the stress out of Christmas. The themes are open to interpretation, and we welcome all crafters, whether you're papercrafters, photographers, stitchers, painters, anyone in fact who is willing to share their creativity with us and enhance the magic of Christmas!

A new theme will be posted here every Sunday to hopefully whet your appetite. The last Sunday of every month is intended to be something which is NOT a card - you'll see what we mean as time goes on. All we ask is that your submission is a newly created one. And next Sunday we will be announcing the winner of this fabulous Christmas set which Teri has very kindly donated:

So, lets get this party started and introduce you to the team who have created these fabulous samples based on our first theme - Oh Christmas Tree. Now it's over to you! Thanks for playing along with us and don't forget to add your link so that we can come and admire your offerings and take inspiration from you too!

4 Days to go.....

Hope you're still with us because we're getting very excited here, and with only 4 days to go before our first theme is posted, it already feels like Christmas is on it's way!! Unfortunately, as most of us know, it does have a nasty habit of pouncing upon us when we're least prepared, and as everyone who will be using this blog knows, when you make your own cards there's never enough time. And that is the reason for starting this blog. We want everyone to carry on doing their everyday stuff, joining in all the other blog challenges that they usually take part in, but put just another hour aside each week to make at least one Christmas card (or other Christmas project!) so that you've got less to worry about later in the year.

And if you're thinking "I can't do Christmas in Summer" then hopefully our weekly samples will inspire and motivate you to join in.

So, add a link to us, set your alarm clocks, get the domestics done before Sunday and put an hour aside to join us - we have this very tasty giveaway too to keep you interested! ;o)

See you on Sunday!! :o)

Christmas is coming....

Ooooh..... shall I let you into a secret? The girls here in Winter Wonderland have been VERY busy coming up with some fabulous themes to inspire you to join in with our weekly push to get you preparing for Christmas - we are all really excited behind the scenes. But I've just done a count-up and guess what? There are less than 30 challenges before 20 December! How scary is that??? Even more reason why you need to join in with us - just think, that could be 30 beautiful, individual handmade cards you have made without any stress or fuss! Just one card a week - you won't even notice you've done it, but you'll be so thankful you did!

So do yourself a favour and fix a link to us so that you can keep up on this easy road to Christmas. And pass the word on - not only will it make life easier for everyone to get there in one piece, just imagine how many new ideas there will be to inspire us all!

So pop back on 31st May to play along from the start, don't get left behind!

Welcome to Winter Wonderland

Hi everybody and a huge welcome from the team here at Winter Wonderland! We're not exactly Santa's little elves but we hope to be able to do much the same job by taking some of the stress and strain out of Christmas preparations for you.

We will be going live on Sunday 31st May, and then every Sunday after that we will be setting you a new theme on which you can base your Christmas offering. Whether you decide to make a card, a scrap LO, a tag or two, the choice is entirely yours, all we ask is that you have fun and show us your take on our themes.

The whole purpose of this challenge blog is that you get to build up to the festive season at a nice and stress-free pace, and by making just one item a week, you will be thrilled to find that your Christmas stock is looking very healthy in time for the festive season.

If you want to use our challenges just to build up your Christmas Card stock, that's great, but the last Sunday of each month will be dedicated to making something other than a card. Stick with us, all will be revealed!

So we look forward to welcoming you to our weekly challenge in 3 weeks time. In the meantime, this is a great opportunity to dig out those stamps and papers that you bought last Christmas and never got round to using them - we'll sort that out for you ;o) Or maybe you are already stockpiling for Christmas 2009 - well this is your chance to show us what's already whetting your appetite!

And here's a couple of little teasers to tempt you back later - keep an eye out, there may be more to come:
