Week #22 - Open Theme

SPONSORED BY

Happy Sunday folks - my goodness, these Sunday's are coming round much quicker than ever right now, and now that the clocks have gone back (well, here in the UK they have!) and the nights are drawing in, can you think of a better way to spend a cold, dark evening than sitting in your favourite seat with a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows (or glass of mulled wine!!!) and getting those all-important Christmas cards sorted! No, neither can we. And with British Summertime officially over now, there's no excuse not to dig out those stamps and papers and crack on - don't get left behind!

This week we have decided to turn to YOU for inspiration. We have decided to have an Open Theme so throw that glitter around and just create with wild abandonment and make us go ga-ga with your ideas!

And we also have a very special treat for you this week. Our very own lovely Teri S. has very generously donated 3 of her fantastic digi images (winner's choice!!) to give away to one very lucky player. If you're a regular here, you cannot have failed to have drooled and dribbled over Teri's gorgeous cards each week, but may not have been aware that ALL her images are her very own hand-drawn, unique creations. And in case you're wondering where you can get your paws on them, I urge you to dash straight over to her website and bag yourself a bargain! (pssst.... you may recognise a few of Teri's dove's in the samples from the team this week ;o) )

And finally, I would also like to say a HUGE thank you to Lynda, our special guest who has helped us to prepare samples once more. We really appreciate all your help, and that from all of our really lovely and talented guests!

So, let's kick off this week with this absolutely stunning Advent Calendar created by Lynda. Feast your eyes on this:

She also created these with Teri's Dove image:

Week #21 - The Christmas Stocking

Can you believe that there are just 10 themes left before The Big Day?! Ordinarily this would scare me silly but this year I look at my lovely pile of already made Christmas cards, some new ornaments and decorations and I can't help but have a cheery smile :)

And if you've only just discovered our blog it really isn't too late to make a start and get ahead before the festivities are all too soon here and hopefully leave you more time to enjoy the season!

This week our theme is The Christmas Stocking and we have another wonderfully talented guest designer, a lady by the name of Lynda, here's a bit she'd like to tell you about herself ...

I've been card making for about 4 years now but have always loved to make things from an early age. Some of the crafts I’ve done are knitting, crocheting, tapestry, salt dough and for about 20 years I was very much into ceramics and had my own little pottery workshop. I never thought that playing with pieces of paper could be so addictive, how wrong was I lol. I was a little “scared” to say the least at starting my blog but so glad I did as I have ‘met’ some really lovely people and I'm so enjoying sharing my love of everything paper.

Look at all that yummy sparkle!! Please check out her blog Lynda Loves Crafting to see more of her fabulous creations :)

And some inspiration from our resident designers ....

Speaking of prizes, time to announce the "winner" of last weeks Cutting Cafe giveaway which is...

Congratulations Suzie - please contact Anne and she will let you know how to get your hands on those fabulous kits!

Week #19 Sleigh Bells Ring

Welcome to Week 19 of our Christmas themes. That's a really scary thought - it's hard to believe that we've been preparing for Christmas for the last 19 weeks!! And I don't know about you, but none of us are feeling stressed because we've all got preparations well and truly in place! The only thing we have to agonise over now is which card to send to who!

So lets get going on this week's theme - Sleigh Bells Ring. Don't worry if you don't have anything Sleigh-y in your stash, all our themes are open to interpretation, and the theme is just to inspire you to add to that needy pile of cards!

And we have another 2 Guests who've helped us to make our inspirational samples for you again this week. A big Thank You to Helen for all her help this week. Here's a little bit about her:

I disovered the fabulous world of papercraft a few years ago, when I decided to make my own Christmas cards. I started off with a small box to keep my stash in...then added a drawer...then another box...and a cupboard...little did I realise that it would take over not only my flat...but my life too! I'm a music teacher by day...and in my spare time I'm a craft challenge addict...and a member of the ABC Challenge DT. My favourite technique is rubber stamping, but I'm also into beading, and enjoy making special gifts for my family and friends.

And here is Helen's gorgeous card:

And we have another fabulous sample from Ameli who also helped us again this week:

Our huge Thanks go to both the girls for all their help. And here we go with the samples from the rest of our fabulous team:
